My view on design

Ways to view design. We need to look at design in different angles. Expanding our view will open new windows ways can help our audience see other approaches in art. This is a photo I took last week of my rooster with close up to show his face!!!

ALL ABOUT COLOR!!!

This was my test not too bad!!!

So this is my color wheel that I designed. I wanted to put a little color on each angle of the wheel. I measured each and every triangle to be 1 inch tall and used the 90 degree angle ruler to make sure each one is straight. I had the hardest time with the yellow getting each one to stand out from the next one!!

Value

This was my creation of value. I used many copies of the photo copied wrapping paper that was originally shinny purple for by background! I really like the look it gave nad helped to pop out my image of me.  I then used a couple other images one the photo puzzle and more wrapping paper just lighter. I then moved ont othe face. I game my face two different color values. One is for normal face sight and the darker is the we see sometimes and sometimes stands in shadow and confusement.
My eyes nose and mouth were just photo copied and the hair was brought out with stained glass color. When I look at my face in the image it says oh my what is this?

Illusion of Motion!!!!

This is my take of stillness to motion. These two humans are standing still but you can really see the wind blowing right through them as they sit. Martine Rhyner is the artist done with oil on canvas 2010. It name is "Legacy of Water". I really liked this so much and really captured the motion illusion fro me.

This is the "Back dive" of 1954 by Harold Edgerton who I feel is using the multiple image use by showing each step of a back dive. I found this from his digital collection and really liked this as I used to do diving when I was little. Each step of the way really gives the feeling of motion.

This image fits my description of blurred outlines. Both images showing communication which is motion but on both images you can't make out the details very well. This was done on wet canvas taken from photographic idiosyncracies. There was no date on this. I really like how the gestures were both seen very well by both people here.

Illusion of Space!!

This is my take on the Different point of view.It is called "Sabine" taken from the NY ART magaizine from April 2010. It is a oil on Canvas. I feel as it fits the different point of view as we are looking at the figure looking the backside as the human is rubbing his head. The use of the darks and grays really give us a sense of depth and line use. This me feels very sad and detailed with each line and color to give us a feeling of a dark and almost like a cave look.

This image is about the use of exaggerated size. This is from Charles Billich from Jan 19 2010 from the "Art Fairs International".
I really like this a lot with the use of the Size being exaggerated with portion to the humans. The painting size is so huge compared to the humans. The carridor is very huge to fit the painting that are all laid out so nicely. I like how they put one of the painting being moved too.

This is a image done by Keith Kottingham from constructed photographs. It called "untitled 2004 from NY ART WORLD.com  I feel as this really shows 2 point perspective  by how each point the triangular ceiling to the side wall on each side. It just feels a though we easily get a feel of depth with in each side of the wall and the pews. I like the fact there are no people in the strucural as it would ruin the depth feeling.

Patterns and texture!!

Textures

This tookj a lot of time to scan every item but in the end was all good and fun. I think the hardest was collecting the chicken feather for this and scanning the sea shells. I have many items I found in my room that I was able to scan. This stain glass is something I made in high school. It is interesting how when you bump up the contrast in gray scale how the object still looks real.

Shape and Volume blog

Shape and Volume

This is my grandfather old antique kid chair that is about 70 years old holding my digital picture frame. I thought this was a cool age difference to show. The is chair as you can see has many textures that show volume and shape that in unique.

This piece is a close up of the chair with it tipping a little. The flowers seems to be falling as it is tipping a little. I thought it was a interesting effect.

This is a very interesting image as I have the flower vase resting on the grids of the chair to give the flowers volume. It seems to help with the shrinking and volume to the image that are all touching all corners as it was cropped. In this image I put in a close background and changed the perspective view so it seemed as it was right in your face. .

continue Of Line

LINE

This is my dry media fro the 2 D object. I choose binoculars as my second favorite object. I thought the blind drawing was the hardest part.

Ok here it is! First left is the tempora, then ink(my favorite) bottom left is charcoal and least favorite was the watercolor. Due to my scanner size some of these got a very tiny edge cut off.
